Elements of Doily Knitting Judy Gibson Sunday, November 16, 2008 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
This introduction will cover selection of patterns and materials, a center start, reading charts, keeping track of your place, correcting simple mistakes, and finishing and blocking your work. The class project is a small doily to be worked in the thread or yarn of the student’s choice.
The pattern is provided in both written-out and charted form, though it is hoped that students who are unfamiliar with working from charts will be encouraged to take the plunge into using this important tool.
